Why Lutheran?

Another name for the Protestant Reformation is the Lutheran Reformation. The Lutheran Library Publishing Ministry is Lutheran because we stand with those Christians like John Huss and the 50 million Bible Believers who were later killed for their faith during the Counter-Reformation.

Many, many churches have forgotten why the Reformation was so important. As a result, the teaching - and the learning - must be done outside of church. The most important things:

  • You can trust the Bible. It is inerrant, infallible, and has been preserved intact. It’s the right of every Christian to have it, read it, and understand it without the requirement of a priest or minister to correct or explain it.

  • There is only one class of Christians. We are all equal - though there are different roles for the sake of order. Read more…

  • Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Read more…

Eliminate any one of these things, and we will be back to the dark ages. Eliminate all and it will be as if Luther and Huss never existed.

Yet, God continues to save. And he knows them that are his. Thanks be to God.
