Christopher Wordsworth

(1807-1885)

Christopher Wordsworth (1807-1885), nephew of the poet William Wordsworth, was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge where he earned B.A., M.A., and D.D. degrees. He was ordained in the Anglican church in 1835, and served as Canon and later Archdeacon of Westminster Abbey, Vicar of Stanford-in-the-Vale, Berks and Bishop of Lincoln. [Hutchins.
